Baobab Oil

The scientific name for the baobab tree is Adansonia digitata. In Africa it is called “the tree of life” and “the pharmacy tree” because of its myriad uses, including skin care. 

Baobab oil is derived from the seeds and is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and other fats, including palmitic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid and linoleic acid. In clinical trials the research shows that the omega-3 fatty acids in baobab oil have several health benefits for the skin including moisturising, preventing dehydration, softening, improving texture and elasticity, repairing the skin barrier, healing broken skin faster and reducing inflammation.

Application

Apply direct to the finished tattoo. Dramatically reduces itching, dryness, scabbing and helps to maintain colour. On fresh tattoos: apply two to three times a day until healed; typically, in three to five days. On an ongoing basis: apply once or twice a week. This will help to maintain colour and definition of tattoos for years to come.
